More good finds......

The Teahouse, London

Recent Photos

This image of DC is one of which was a total surprise when it came back from the lab. During travel from South Africa to London to DC to London and back again to South Africa the film accumulated moisture in the film canister. When the lab technician removed the film for processing it was scratched and fingerprints were left behind. I like it for its random characteristic.

Photoshelter Shoot! The Day

Recently, I was one of twenty Photoshelter photographers chosen for a fully staffed photo shoot, equipped with best -in-class Nikon equipment for the day.

Hundreds applied (700+ to be exact), but only 20 were chosen. On July 20th myself and three other talented photographers joined an accomplished pro for an afternoon of hands on instruction in shooting Business Situations. During the day each photographer had a designated one-on-one work time with the pro. The pro that I had the pleasure of working with was Erica Freudenstein

The day began at 9am at Shoot Digital studios in New York with a briefing from the organizers and sponsors (Photoshelter, Nikon, Apple & Adorama). Following the quick talks each of the photographers checked out the unreleased Nikon D700 and any lenses of their choice while the photo assistants gathered the lighting equipment needed for the shoot.
I already own the Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 lens, so I checked out the Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 VR-ED and the 14-24mm, 2.8 ED. Both of these lenses would find their way to the D700 camera body throughout the day.
Below are some of the images selected by the photo editors on staff at Photoshelter.
